Associate degree in nursing online

I need an accrediting online school to get an associate degree in nursing.?

My major is nursing and I am currently working on my prerequisites to enter a nursing program offered at my community college. The problem is that only a few students get accepted each semester and the waiting list is 1 to 2 years. I want to know what other options I have in order to get a BSN.

I am 22 years old, and am a newlywed, as like most newlyweds, we are trying to get our feet on the ground financially. I have always wanted to be a nurse, but never went for it (when the time was right) and now I work an 8-5 job M-F. The problem is, I want to take some courses online, are there any courses online that could LEAD me in the right direction to become a nurse in the near future? I want to earn either my Associates or my Bachelors degree in something, I just don't know what. I would go to a regular college and just get my nursing degree, but for financial reasons, I cannot quit my job and go to school at the same time. Any suggestions as to what kind of degree I could get online that would be helpful/useful in the long run for an RN? Thanks any advice would be appreciated!

If you are looking for an online associate degree in nursing to become a RN, then I would advice you to drop the idea. There is no accredited online associate degree in nursing university (http://www.mynursingschools.com/) that qualifies you to be a RN. You have to attend college or nursing school in person to obtain an associate degree in nursing to be a RN. There are a lot of laboratory and clinical classes which you have to attend in person in order to learn and practice the techniques and skills required of a RN.
